Stargazer announced today that the 9Lives Arena free to play Beta has launched via the Epic Games Store. With a focus on one-on-one player combat, the online RPG, 9Lives Arena, features permadeath, persistent progression, resource gathering, item crafting and the world’s first online/offline companion, Ooogy, who works for you 24/7, even when you’re not playing (as long as you feed him enough fish).
This beta release cranks up the intensity with five heart-pounding arenas, nine player factions, and a finely-tuned persistent progression system and permadeath loop where death is just the beginning. As your mortal character exhausts their nine lives in ranked arena combat, a profound transformation unfolds. Transcend into the haunting grounds as a spirit, compelled to embark on a soul-stirring quest—hunting for lives. The pursuit of immortality catapults you into a league of extraordinary warriors, a realm forged by the resilience of spirits rising from the ashes of mortality.
The top three players’ statues will grace the Beach at the end of each season, with the ultimate champion claiming the throne in the ranked Arena. Your Ooogy is now armed with even more abilities, ready to assist and work for you gathering resources, crafting armor and weapons, building ancient machines and hunting for treasure to name a few.
The upcoming three month-long Fishing and Arena season starts February 1st, so now is the best time for players to learn how to fish and level up their character, craft great gear and train their combat skills. Prizes will be announced soon.
Why is it called 9Lives Arena? Because in ranked arena combat, your hero only gets nine lives, but remember, death is just the beginning. The freedom to forge your own destiny through character build creation and the deep customization system for weapons and armor ensures a truly unique gaming experience.
