Ammobox Studios has announced the launch of a GoFundMe campaign in effort to raise the amount required to secure legal help in the development studio’s battle against its former publisher TheGameWall Studios. Revenues from Ammobox’s debut release Eximius: Seize the Frontline were stolen, along with potential revenue due to unfulfilled marketing work promised by the rogue publisher.
Ammobox is seeking $25,000 USD to hire and receive legal representation — should the studio exceed that goal, additional funds will either go towards helping the development team or made into charitable donations.
“It’s been a difficult period for our team; but at the same time, the support we’ve received as our story was shared over the past few weeks has been incredible,” Ammobox Studios Jeremy Choo explained. “The kindness shown by members of the games industry and community has meant so much. Whether you are helping fund our campaign or simply pulling for us, we could not have reached this far without you!”
More info on Ammobox’s story can be found in Choo’s recent post on Gamasutra.
