The Pokémon European Video Game Championships will begin on May 11 in Milan. The finalists will earn a free trip to Vancouver in August to participate in the World Finals.
The three European heats are:
- Milan, Italy on May 11-12
- Bochum, Germany on May 26, and
- Birmingham, UK on June 2
For the first time ever, even if a player has been defeated, he/she can still earn enough points to proceed to the final rounds.
Each tournament is age-bracketed:
- Junior Division—born in 2002 or later
- Senior Division—born in 1998, 1999, 2000, or 2001
- Masters Division—born in 1997 or earlier
Competitors can now register at the official Pokemon site.
