Developer DrinkBox announced that Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will be releasing on PS4.
The game is described by the developer as
“a Metroidvania, brawling platformer where you play as a Luchador that harnesses the powers of a legendary mask, two meaty fists, and an arsenal of wrestling moves to battle an evil army of the undead. But did you also know you can turn into a chicken? And nothing hinders the forces of darkness more than being pecked in the knee by angry poultry.”
The PS4 version of Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will feature INTENSO! in which players get to pummel baddies into bone meal to fill their combo meter, then “unleash INTENSO for a brief (but highly satisfying) boost to the damage and speed of your attacks, as well as your movement.”
In addition, the combat has been polished up and some upgrades have been added. Juan’s story was expanded with two brand-new, huge levels, and a three-headed, one-man Mariachi-band boss was added, not to mention a new class of Elite enemies.
