San Francisco – Nifty Games Inc. a developer and publisher focused on quick-session, head-to-head sports games for mobile, announced today the appointment of industry veteran William Schmitt, who will be joining as General Manager effective immediately for a yet- to-be-announced officially licensed sports product. This news follows Nifty’s recent announcement that it has teamed up with the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), and THINK450 to bring authentic NBA basketball games to mobile devices.

Well-known and highly respected, Mr. Schmitt has been in the video game business for over 26 years, having held roles at AAA publishers and developers such as Electronic Arts, Activision, THQ and Disney Interactive. “We’re thrilled to have William join our talented team. William’s success and experience of having worked with top licensed IPs including WWE, UFC and Marvel Avengers will be a key asset as Nifty Games looks to radically transform the mobile sports games landscape.”
