Features of Resident Evil 4 Remake
Japanese company Capcom has published the story trailer and sliced gameplay shots of the Resident Evil 4 remake. At the same time, we also found out the requirements for the PC version of the project. The Resident Evil 4 Remake is based on the well-known RE Engine. The game will support ray tracing effects (which are not specified), but to run the game on the “minimal” will be enough computer with a Ryzen 3 1200 or Core i5-7500 processor and a graphics card with Radeon RX 560 4GB or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. More detailed requirements can be found below.
Recall that in the remake of Resident Evil 4 game, the developers promised to maintain the atmosphere of the original game but to modernize the gameplay and graphics, as well as add a reinterpreted and more in-depth storyline. The game will be available on personal computers, consoles Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and 5.
Reasons for Popularity
Resident Evil 4 wasn’t just a hit – it set the canons of the genre for a very long time and greatly influenced the industry as a whole. The over-the-shoulder view inspired Gears of War, and that, in turn, became the standard for third-person shooters. The laser pointer sight moved to Dead Space, where it found a new life with the system of “strategic dismemberment” of enemies. The use of QTE to make spectacular scenes interactive also came into vogue after the release of the fourth Resident. Even BioShock became such, as we know, thanks to Resident Evil 4 and its spacious, complex, tiered locations where the hero could actively interact with the environment.
Another factor in Resident Evil 4’s success is the dozens, if not hundreds, of different ways to delight the player with something new. The campaign takes 15-20 hours to complete, which is a lot by the standards of action games, but by the standards of the Resident Evil series, it is exorbitant. At the same time, there is no trailer in the game. Each location has its own unique “twist”, whether it is an unusual landscape, new mechanics, or a new type of enemies – the game constantly surprises you.
You will remember a huge number of scenes from the game – from the first hit in the village, when you feel helpless, to the night battle with the chainsaws. What about the creepy introduction to the regenerators or trying to wrest Ashley away from the pesky cultists? Resident Evil 4 simply has no time to get bored.
Conclusion
Resident Evil 4 is one of the most influential games in history and a true classic of the genre that has hardly aged over the past 15 years. So, while we are waiting for the remake of the fourth part, it is high time we again went through the original part that has celebrated its anniversary because the new one promises a lot of changes.
