The new song “Mastery” by The Last Rockstars, the popular Japanese rock band featuring artists Yoshiki, Hyde, Sugizo, and Miyavi, will be the official theme song for TEKKEN 8. The new song was performed for the first time at the band’s “The 2nd Tour 2023 PSYCHO LOVE” live concert held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. TEKKEN 8 is coming on January 26, 2024, to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The Last Rockstars is a group formed in 2022 by four members who have reigned at the top of the rock world and made a name for themselves around the world. The new song “Mastery” was written for TEKKEN 8 and has an ultra-aggressive sound reminiscent of the intense battles and emotional storylines of the game, with Sugizo’s heavy, muscular guitar and Miyavi’s guitar and raps delivered as if they are posing challenges to opponents in battle. Hyde’s vocals sound as if they are violent punches, and YOSHIKI’s piano weaves the entire storyline. The track will be released as the official theme song of TEKKEN 8 in the near future.
TEKKEN 8 is slated for release on January 26, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
