Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Long Jaunt’s medieval colony sim Norland is well into its second phase development roadmap. Norland has released the next round of enhancements and another significant discount before year’s end.
With new sprites, more topology, and increased regional diversity, the most recent update for Norland totally redesigns the world map. Before moving on to the “world” stage and engaging in combat over nation-states of various cultures, players will begin each game by vying for control of a single region. The map’s total area has also increased, and a previous patch lets players force adjacent vassals to deal with far-off problems so their own nobles can concentrate on domestic affairs.
A family tree system and a new set of regional maps are just two of the many new features included in Patch 26, which allows gamers to finally keep track of who’s half-brother married and whose second cousin twice removed. Additionally, there is a fresh group of “guest” NPC characters that appear as cultists and pilgrims. For all the information, see the whole patch notes.
For $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥3,980, Norland is available for PC via Steam Early Access. You can now purchase it at a 35% discount until December 4, 2024.
