Introduction/Information about Battlefield 6 Open Beta
The upcoming game Battlefield 6 is currently doing its open beta. For those who don’t know, Battlefield is an online first person shooter where players fight in an all out warfare. I have not played many Battlefield games, so I was unsure if there was anything crazy to expect. When I was playing the open beta, I was having a ton of fun. I enjoyed the movement, which felt pretty quick, as well as the gunplay, which felt somewhat heavy, but in a good way. I was also very surprised at how polished the open beta felt. After playing during the open beta of Battlefield 6, I would say this game has quick, fun, and polished gameplay, leaving me with a great first impression.

Gameplay
The gameplay for Battlefield 6 felt very fun with great gunplay and movement. The open beta had different game modes for players to try out from the start, but before jumping straight in, there is a shooting range for new players to go in and test out different guns. To get a handle on the game, I went straight here first. The assault rifles felt good to use. The shooting and recoil felt somewhat heavy for me, but still manageable, which I really liked. It almost felt like I could actually feel the weight of the gun and bullets. I would say my favorite kinds of guns to use were the assault rifles and the sniper rifles. They were the most fun for me to use and mess around with (and I usually go with sniper rifles in almost every shooter I play). Once I got more used to the controls and feel of the game, I jumped straight into the online matches. The action felt pretty fast-paced, leaving players always moving around. One aspect of matches I found interesting was how the environment became affected by destruction. As different explosives were thrown and shot, chaos ensued, and different buildings that surrounded them got destroyed. A staple in Battlefield games that seems to be done very well during the beta. Playing through this beta was a ton of fun. As I also mentioned earlier, the beta also felt very polished. The only bugs I’ve really run into when playing were issues with the camera when entering a tank. The camera would clip into the ground. Aside from that, though, there were no other bugs I ran into.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I believe the open beta for Battlefield 6 is a very fun and polished beta that leaves me with a great first impression for the game. As I mentioned before, I have not played too many Battlefield games before trying out this beta, but this beta has left me wanting to play even more. The gunplay and movement of this beta have really left an impression on me, and I hope that upon release, the game optimizes the gameplay even further. If you are a fan of the Battlefield series or are a player looking to play a fun multiplayer first-person shooter, then I would highly grab Battlefield 6 when it comes out October 10th, 2025. Players who want to try this game out still have time to try out the open beta from August 9th-10th and August 14th-17th.
Battlefield 6 will launch on October 10 and be accessible on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
