Capcom is commemorating the public’s much anticipated first chance to interact directly with PRAGMATA at gamescom 2025 today. In celebration, Capcom has unveiled fresh details about the eagerly awaited sci-fi adventure game, including a variety of new character and monster artwork and other details about the action-packed Hacking gameplay.
Numerous dangers impede the characters Hugh and Diana as they go out to flee the lunar research base. The Walkers are one of these enemies. Based on the M4 series, humanoid bots are one of Delphi Corporation’s best-selling products. The Walkers were frequently chosen for support roles because of their aptitude at using tools and cooperating with people. The upgraded M4AM design can withstand low-gravity, vacuum-like conditions in lunar habitats.
Check out the PRAGMATA New Artwork:
A boss called the SectorGuard is another formidable foe that players may encounter. Delphi’s military manufacturing branch created the SectorGuard, a big bot from the S-35 product series. It was primarily constructed to safeguard high-priority or sensitive installations. Low-gravity ballistics and guided weapons are installed in the spherical modules on both of its arms. In order for Diana to hack its defenses, players must use Hugh’s thrusters to avoid its attacks.
Players will come across Overdrive Protocol, a new hacking ability, while battling the SectorGuard. Diana gains the power to simultaneously Hack the nearby adversaries, forcing them to open their armor and momentarily stopping their movement when its gauge fills up. Even though it’s a strong assault, it’s best employed sparingly and at the appropriate time!
Players can also gather Hack Nodes from the environment to utilize in battle to improve Diana’s hacking skills. When an enemy passes across these consumable nodes in the Hacking Matrix, their defenses are momentarily weakened. The game’s distinctive combat system is made more difficult by Hack Nodes, which also provide players additional chances to make calculated choices during intense combat. The Decode Node is one of these hack nodes that has the ability to temporarily weaken an enemy’s defenses. To find out more about how the gameplay experience will develop further, stay tuned.
This week at Gamescom 2025 and other forthcoming events, such as PAX West 2025 in Seattle, Washington, which runs from August 29 to September 1, fans may get hands-on with PRAGMATA. By going to the official website and playing a unique “Hacking Minigame” that can be played in web browsers, players can also gain a sense of the hacking techniques.
In 2026, PRAGMATA will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
