Today, SNK CORPORATION revealed that REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2: THE NEWCOMERS has been modernized and is now available for PC via Steam for $19.99/€19.99. The legendary fighter has returned with lightning-fast gameplay, the recognizable Sway Line system, and a roster full of adored icons, perfecting the recipe of FATAL FURY. This first release is represented under SNK’s new NEOGEO Premium Selection label.

This beloved brawler, which was first played in arcades in 1998, comes back to life with new content that keeps the battle going, online lobbies for up to nine players, and a seamless rollback netcode. Players can compete in local matches with one or two other players or compete globally in online tournaments that offer a variety of forms, such as round robin, single elimination, and double elimination. Spectator Mode allows players to watch other people’s matches.
With 23 playable characters, the game boasts the biggest roster in FATAL FURY history. Legends like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui are joined by newcomers Li Xiangfei and Rick Strowd. Alfred, a hidden combatant, also enters the fight, making it feel intense and unpredictable.
The fully functional Practice Mode, which includes speed settings, record-and-replay capabilities, and a hitbox viewer for more thorough training, allows players to hone their skills. With 59 pieces of vintage FATAL FURY artwork and media, Gallery Mode completes the package, making this the best version of REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2.
A selection of NEOGEO arcade classics that have been updated with new features for the present day is called NEOGEO Premium Selection. This premium resurrection, which was created and assembled with SNK’s direct support, is a tribute to all of our fans worldwide and over the years.
