Introduction/Information about Whirlight – No Time To Trip

Whirlright – No Time to Trip is a game that plans to release on Steam in 2026, with a free demo available for download now. In this game, players will follow Margaret and Hector in this point-and-click graphic adventure, taking them through space and time and helping to avert imminent danger. These kinds of point-and-click games always tend to interest me somewhat. I mainly get curious about how the game will try to keep me engaged. When playing through this demo, I was definitely engaged with trying to solve the puzzles in order to progress. While the game visually and technically did not feel very appealing to me, I’m still pretty impressed with how much thought was put into the puzzles. After playing the demo of Whirlright – No Time to Trip, I would say that this is the kind of fun and easy game anyone can pick up and run through whenever they feel like it.

Gameplay

The gameplay for Whirlright – No Time to Trip is mainly puzzle solving. In terms of controls, it’s a point-and-click adventure, so it’s very self-explanatory. Just click on whatever seems suspicious or inspectable or what you need to. In terms of the puzzles themselves, they are pretty well thought out. Generally, players will need to find and interact with different items and really think about where to use them in order to progress. It will primarily be using an item to gain another item, ongoing until you find the item that lets the player progress into the set of areas. Trying to solve these puzzles in this demo left me kind of impressed. I even managed to get stuck on a couple of puzzles here and there. In terms of other parts of the game, like graphics and the world players will explore, it was not very appealing to me. Not to say they were bad or that there was much to expect. I would say the best way to describe the aesthetic for me was that it felt weird to look at. There are certain parts and objects that just look out of place to me.

Final thoughts

Overall, I believe the game Whirlright – No Time to Trip is a fun game to jump into and mess around with, especially for players looking for puzzles to solve. This game was not necessarily anything crazy to me. Most point-and-click adventure games never really are. I still also go back to the aesthetic. It wasn’t super appealing to me. I will say, however, that the puzzles in this game were much more fun to solve than I originally thought they would be. If you are a puzzle-solving player looking to find a simple puzzle game to jump into whenever you want to, then I would recommend trying out the demo. Whirlright – No Time to Trip plans to release 2026 this year.
