Nintendo has released a new Super Mario Maker overview video that summarizes key game features ahead of its launch on the 11th of September. New announcements highlighted in the video include:
- New sound effects and music block customization – You can create your own sound effects in Super Mario Maker, with some sounds even generating fun visuals! And by shaking a classic Note Block during level creation, it becomes a Music Block. When something activates one of these Music Blocks, it will play a note based on its height, allowing players to arrange songs of all types.
- Ease into creation – Start creating with a set number of tools to help you learn, then watch the number of tools at your disposal expand more and more every day you play!
- Compatible with more than 50 amiibo – Many amiibo are compatible withSuper Mario Maker, including classic figures like Link, Wii Fit Trainer and Kirby. With the special 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo, you can take on mustachioed enemies in levels using Big Mario!
Super Mario Maker releases September 11, 2015 for Wii U.
