This is Gaming Cypher’s PC Review of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut by Neocore Games.
After several release delays set by the developer to make sure that Final Cut was optimized, we are happy to say that they delivered on their promise. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut is comprised of the first three games, which were sometimes buggy, but still fun to play.
Within the gameplay, you get to (happily) choose between six classes:
- Protector
- Bounty Hunter
- Elementalist
- Umbralist
- Phlogistoneer
- Constructor
In addition, you will get to unlock progressively more powerful skills within the skill tree. This will require you to be at a certain level in order to acquire certain skills, i.e., 2nd tier at level 20 and 3rd tier at level 40.
We enjoyed the streamlining of the leveling progression, as now there are only three categories instead of the previous five.
We enjoyed the storyline tremendously and give kudos to Neocore for keeping the game highly interesting and fun to play. Endgame content was also added to keep things fresh.
Our biggest drawback, however, is that the game crashed at several times during gameplay. We were able to jump right back in, but it was disconcerting. Once these technical issues are resolved, the gameplay will be much smoother and even more fun.
Here is the launch trailer:
We recommend a definite buy and rate The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut a 4.5/5
