Hands on Demos at PAX South in Booth 11105
CANBERRA, Australia – Jan. 4, 2016 – VR enthusiasts and PC gamers looking for platform adventure gameplay can get the ball rolling with Marble Mountain, when it arrives for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Windows, Mac and Linux in Q2 2016. PAX South attendees can help a small marble on a big adventure even sooner when Lightning Rock provides hands-on demos in booth 11105.
Players guide their marble on an epic journey to the top of a mountain, navigating treacherous environments and overcoming challenges, all while trying to balance at precarious heights and keep their marble in one piece.
Marble Mountain features cinematic set-pieces, including avoiding massive boulders, fleeing oncoming avalanches and tumbling down titanic waterfalls, providing an immersive adventure. Competitive players can battle for the top spot on the leaderboards in speed runs.
Marble Mountain‘s 25 distinct levels, each with their own theme and hazards, require exploration, puzzle-solving and quick thinking. Players traverse increasingly difficult environments including rolling green hills, spooky graveyards, ancient temples, unforgiving volcanoes, dry deserts, sky-high mountaintops, snow-capped summits and dangerous cliffs.
“Our goal is to provide a thrilling adventure that pays homage to some of our favorite games and movies,” Shannon Pickles, producer, Lightning Rock said. “Marble Mountain combines the retro gameplay of Marble Madness and Super Monkey Ball with the cinematic experience of Indiana Jones to deliver an exciting adventure.”
Like all great stories starring marbles, Marble Mountain starts off in a village of marbles, with our protagonist leaving behind his friends and family in search of treasure at the top of a mountain.
