Developer Nebula Interactive out of Ireland has announced that its retro-style side scrolling shooter, Project G, is now available on Steam.
It is circa 2110 and humanity depends on secret marine farms for survival…
Created by a philanthropic organisation through a century’s tireless work, the aquatic farms are under threat from predators emboldened by an ecosystem in chaos. Cybernetic fish-bots were created to keep this precious food source safe. Then it happened: a glitch? A hack? All you know is that the fish-bots turned from guardians to enemies!
In this retro-styled side-scrolling shooter, you pilot your sleek submarine through levels by using keyboard (CTRL to shoot and SPACE to deploy one of your special weapons) or gamepad. The future is a difficult place to find resources and you must earn credits and pick up materials as you conquer levels, then use them to upgrade your ship to match your playing style, or take control of a different model. Select one of three kinds of special weapons to take with you into each battle: depth charges, torpedoes, or nukes. Learn how the world came to this crisis as you collect log entries from those who lived through the decline of the planet, and by compiling them unlock the location of Earth’s final hope, the main research lab of Giga Corp.

About Nebula Interactive
Founded in Drogheda, Ireland, in January 2014 by Colin Guilfoyle, Nebula Interactive has a strong social enterprise ethic and through their Nebula Social Project they have facilitated the assistance of a number of Charities and Not for Profits. From Kesho Town, a massive village building sim that aims to raise funds for aid agencies in developing countries, they moved on to the tongue in cheek game Water Meter Dash, which capitalised on the national uproar in Ireland over the introduction of water meters and made full page national news during the summer of 2015.
Starting out as a web and app development studio, they quickly discovered their calling in games. Since Meter Dash, Nebula Interactive has developed a number of smaller smartphone games while they worked on their first Steam offering Project G. As part of the Nebula Social project, Colin gave a TEDx talk in 2015 on Giving Through Gaming. The company won awards both locally and nationally.
Project G is now available for PC on Steam.
