The Sandbox MMORPG will launch in July. Next massive update coming in March
Berlin- Development studio Sandbox Interactive has announced two major release dates for their Sandbox MMORPG, Albion Online. First, the news players have been waiting to hear for months now: Albion Online will officially launch on July 17, 2017. Second: The biggest content update thus far, called Galahad will come to final beta on March 13, bringing with it a wipe, implementing new content and improvements.
Official Launch Date for Albion Online
After a very successful final beta, with more than 200,000 Founder Packs already sold, the Sandbox MMORPG will finally launch on July 17. It is a date both developers and players are waiting for with bated breath. The official history of Albion Online starts on July 17 – and players are welcome to help shape the world of Albion from day one. More information will become available closer to the launch date.
Galahad – New Biome Cities Let Players Explore a New Albion
As the last major content update before the official launch, Galahad is set to once again wow players with new features. Not only will the PVE system be overhauled completely to give players an even more exciting experience while battling in the world of Albion, the update also adds a total of six new biome cities, each with their own unique look and feel. As the central hub for everyday social and economic interaction in Albion Online, cities are a crucial part of the world. Swamp City, Forest City, Highland City, Mountain City, Steppe City and Central City will make Albion that much more vibrant.
Players will be able to check out the new content on March 13, after a brief server downtime starting March 10, during which all current game progress will be wiped. As usual, Founder items, Gold purchased through the website and referral rewards will be credited back to the players’ accounts.
