FaZe Clan Fortnite pro players Cloakzy, Cizzorz, Overwatch League Superstars iddqd, Babybay Added; New VR Technology, Gaming Celebrities To Enhance Gaming Experience For Attendees
ROSEMONT, Ill. – Wizard World has announced some huge additions to its gaming and eSports offerings at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago, Thursday through Sunday at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The expanded gaming area in Chicago will include world-class streamers, gaming content creators and professional eSports athletes who will be onsite to give fans a chance to play the world’s most popular games alongside their favorite gaming personalities.
Chicago’s lineup of gaming celebrities include such world-renowned talent as FaZe Clan’s Fortnite pro players Cloakzy and Cizzorz, Overwatch League superstars iddqd and Babybay, and many more. In addition, attendees will have photo and autograph opportunities, as well as access to exclusive Q&A panels, clinics and workshops. All of this in addition to cutting edge VR technology and unrestricted play with current gen console and PC games.
Wizard World’s gaming area is also open all four days with a variety of console games for all ages, with LAN Parties and free open play available to all attendees. Additionally, the Wizard World Gaming Gold VIP Package includes gaming-themed gift bag, early entry to the show floor, access to the VIP lounge, priority lines for autographs and photo ops and more.

Wizard World Comic Con Chicago features a standout roster of celebrities, including Hudson, Tom Welling (“Smallville,” “Lucifer”), Ian Somerhalder (“The Vampire Diaries”), Ghostbusters producer/director Ivan Reitman and star Ernie Hudson, “The X-Files” headliners Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, five stars of the cast of “Outlander” (Caitriona Balfe, Graham McTavish, Lotte Verbeek, Richard Rankin, Sophie Skelton) plus author Diana Gabaldon, Guardians of the Galaxy standouts Michael Rooker and Pom Klementieff, the “Boy Meets World” foursome of Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong, David Krumholz (“Firefly,” Serenity), Christy Carlson Romano (“Kim Possible”) and many others.
Wizard World events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop culture: movies, television, gaming, live entertainment, comics, sci-fi, graphic novels, toys, original art, collectibles, contests and more. The 10th event scheduled on the 2018 Wizard World calendar, Chicago show hours are Thursday, August 23, 4-9 p.m.; Friday, August 24, noon-7 p.m.; Saturday, August 25, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, August 26, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Kids 10 and under are admitted free with paid adult.
The 20th Anniversary Wizard World Chicago (first held in 1998) is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday evening.
