It was not so long ago that we were exploring the breathtaking Summerset Isles, where even the grass is gilded in gold. Now we turn to silver, turning our attention toward the emerging threat of the Daedric Prince of the Hunt, Hircine, and his werewolf children.
While we are not necessarily introduced to a whole new province, there are two new dungeons: March of Sacrifices and Moon Hunter Keep. After purchasing the DLC in the crown store for 1,500 crowns, you can immediately access these raids. If you have been awaiting the new battleground map: Istirus Outpost, you can take up arms from the get-go as well! Completing these scenarios will give you access to new gear and fine additions to your collections.
I noticed that the new mounts are a little under the radar, but you can see them in the featured items in the crown store as well. They are the Silver Dawn Argent Charger and the Silver Daenian Werewolf Tracker, both of which look really cool. Like Oblivion horse armor – but redeemed by Dawnguard appeal. If you are pretty serious about getting this new content, it’s all included in the latest bundle.
The werewolf skill line is also something to check out – you will notice that there are a lot of skills to master and improve starting with your initial bestial transformation. I only wish I could have had these skillsets when I was roaming Skyrim. I still have not decided whether I want to become a pack leader or a berserker. Regardless, I really dig the rending claws and the ability to pounce upon my unsuspecting foes!
Sometimes being a lone wolf can be a bummer – but wait! There’s a silver lining! You can play around with the beast personality and weird out your friends. Or just watch yourself fidget and howl like a dog with fleas. I’m personally more of the lone wolf, but this DLC is more for the packs. There is a lot of PVP and raiding opportunity.
So I guess it comes down to a couple crucial questions. First of all: do you like furries? Trick question! You will murdering furries by the hundreds! (But you can be one too – only some judgment – #vamplyfe) And secondly: are you looking for a new and exciting way to bond with your closest friends, allies, and guildmates? Then I would highly recommend this DLC! For you lone wolves out there: you may want to hold off and look at your options on the crown store – the content looks awesome!
