Gameplay & Story
The dual characters of Resident Evil Requiem, FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and legendary DSO agent Leon Kennedy, provide gamers with a singular blend of spine-tingling survival horror and death-defying action. As previously disclosed, both characters will be able to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives for more dynamic action and deeper immersion at any time during the game.
- Leon Kennedy: Leon is looking into a string of mysterious fatalities and has skill with both weaponry and hand-to-hand combat. He can use a number of weaponry and perform close-quarters fighting moves with the brand-new hatchet while negotiating this lethal circumstance. Develop Leon’s abilities as you execute thrilling finishing moves to deliver the last blow, turn the tables by attacking with a chainsaw that you have taken from an enemy, and time your moves to parry hostile assaults.
- Grace Ashcroft: Grace starts her survival odyssey in a zombie-infested asylum, where she must exercise extreme caution when choosing which foes to confront and which to avoid. The player must make crucial choices that could spell the difference between life and death due to limited resources and carrying capacity. By obtaining a unique tool, Grace can use contaminated blood to create essential things, opening the door to a variety of offensive tactics. A unique weapon with tremendous strength, the Requiem assault revolver pays homage to the game’s name and is probably your final chance to survive. Will you utilize your limited ammunition immediately or store it for the upcoming horrors?
- Zombies: The zombies in this game are insane, although some of them seem obsessed with things they did before they died. A chef who can’t stop cooking, a singer who can’t stop singing, a janitor who never stops polishing mirrors…Could you outwit them by taking advantage of their actions?
- Elpis: The death of Grace’s mother, Alyssa Ashcroft; Grace’s personal history; and the tale involving Leon are all connected by the term “elpis.” As the player, it is your responsibility to solve the puzzle that reveals the truth about the events portrayed in Resident Evil Requiem.
- Difficulty: When experiencing the action and terror, players can select from a variety of challenges. In addition to more forgiving player health and enemy durability, casual includes aim assistance. When playing as Grace, Standard (Classic) increases the tension by requiring Ink Ribbons for every save, necessitating strategy in both resource management and save timing.
Platforms & Technology
In addition to the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch2, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store, Resident Evil Requiem will launch on the GeForce NOW online gaming service on February 27, 2026. With GeForce NOW, players who buy Resident Evil Requiem on Steam or the Epic Games Store will be able to play even on PCs with less powerful specs. Additionally, you may play Resident Evil Requiem wherever you are with GeForce NOW-compatible televisions and mobile devices. You must have a separate subscription to GeForce NOW.
Resident Evil Requiem is also being optimized for a wide range of PCs ahead of its worldwide release, with high-spec PC players able to enjoy additional cutting-edge technology from NVIDIA, with DLSS 4 and path-traced effects that accelerate performance and enhance image quality.
Collaborations
It’s time to unveil an extraordinary collaboration with the historic watch company Hamilton which has intricately designed two dazzling watch models that replicate those worn by Leon and Grace in-game in stunning detail. The Khaki Field Auto Chrono (Leon) and the Pan Europ Automatic (Grace) can be purchased starting on Friday, February 27, the same day Resident Evil Requiem launches, and are extremely limited with only 2,000 units available worldwide.
And racing to the finish line is the lightning fast collaboration with Porsche, the automaker that has captivated car enthusiasts worldwide for decades. A one-of-a-kind Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT has been created with complex 3D printing technology, perfectly customizing the vehicle to fit into the game’s distinctly dark world. Designed around the core themes of performance and survival, this custom SUV appears in the game as Leon’s vehicle – a legendary ride for a legendary character.
