The second DLC expansion, Nightwatchers, for the critically acclaimed and best-selling roguelite city builder Against the Storm has been released by Hooded Horse and Eremite Games. A new set of residents enters the battle as the Blightstorm continues to rage; the bats bring with them a skill for metallurgy, a strong belief in the greater good, and a contempt for weakness. On July 31, 2025, Against the Storm: Nightwatchers will be released for PC.

Bats are unusual yet erratic allies on a wilderness adventure because they hate weakness and can flourish where others fail. They utilize their Manorial Court power to expel a member of a different species, using this severe penalty to inspire the remaining employees. When other species depart from the settlement, they also become more determined.
Their tenacity will be useful in the two new biomes. The Rocky Ravine is a desolate setting devoid of vegetation, but abundant in stone, metals, and ruthless traders who will not hesitate to take advantage of you. As you attempt to negotiate extremely fluctuating pricing and the availability of commodities while evading the Scorched Queen’s prying eyes, a unique Black Market mechanism will be your lifeline.
A surprising ally for any viceroy who dares to think creatively can be found on the Bamboo Flats lowlands. Even though these areas lack fertile soil due to the continuous rain, if given proper care, the enormous Fluffbeak may create large amounts of fertilizer to improve the soil and aid in the establishment of a thriving colony. To benefit, control its thirst, hunger, and warmth.
There will also be new world events, rewards, orders, and even some new music in Nightwatchers. Alongside this DLC, the free 1.8 update will be released, which will include a legendary cornerstone, a new way to satisfy service requests, an improvement for Smoldering City, and more!
Against the Storm Nightwatchers DLC will release July 31 for PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. A release date for the DLC will be forthcoming for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
