ALIEN RPG – Second Edition and Rapture Protocol Heading to Kickstarter

Free League has announced their plans to release a Second Edition of the many award-winning game rules spanning an extensive new range of rulebooks, starter sets, cinematics, and accessories in celebration of the critically renowned ALIEN role-playing game’s fifth anniversary in 2024. With plenty of bug hunts via an incredible Kickstarter that launches this fall, the stress fest gets underway.

The Second Edition of the core rules offers an updated and simplified version of the beloved ALIEN role-playing game, along with new artwork, content, and a range of new tools for both players and game mothers. All of these features are fully compatible with previous releases and game material, and are based on feedback from thousands of players over the course of five years of adventures.
Redesigned to be the ideal introduction to roleplaying in the ALIEN universe, the new 2e starter set will include everything needed for a successful game night, including an expanded 2e version of the highly anticipated Hope’s Last Day scenario, which takes place on Hadley’s Hope just before the unforgettable events of Aliens.
Written by Jonathan Hicks and Tomas Härenstam of Free League, the new cinematic scenario boxed set Rapture Protocol takes fans back to the original ALIEN series, with the crew of a small star freighter resupplying a far-off industrial colony only to become entangled in a deadly struggle.
The purpose of the miniatures kit is to reenact the events of Rapture Protocol while also serving as a perfect addition to other ALIEN role-playing games and encounters.
