Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess held a special collaboration with Capcom’s iconic 2006 title Okami along with a special challenge in honor of the free demo’s release! After successfully completing the cooperative task today, gamers were able to get free Okami gifts in the game, which can be downloaded for free on all platforms when it launches. Along with a new teaser featuring more of the quirky charms of Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, ermhoi, a well-known Japanese singer and songwriter, published the official theme song for the game on YouTube.

Players that participated in the partnership between Okami and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess received exclusive items, such as the Amaterasu outfit and weapon for Soh and the Waka outfit for Yoshiro, in addition to a unique soundtrack created specifically for the game by Okami. In the Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess free demo, which is still accessible on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam, people came together to successfully finish the tasks of gathering 1 billion crystals and discovering 15 hidden Lucky Mallets.
“Kunitsu-Gami,” written by Chikara Aoshima and performed by ermhoi, is the game’s theme song. It combines the themes of masks, defilement, spirits, and sins that are present in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. This official theme song was written with the vibe of a kid’s song that has been passed down through the generations in the in-game world. As the song goes on, the painstakingly created rhythmic patterns, speed, tone, and arrangement get rougher. In addition, Chikara Aoshima is the composer of every song in Capcom’s 2019 blockbuster Shinsekai: Into the Depths.
“The story of ‘Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess‘ is a tale of battling defilement, insecurity, and fear. I hope this song will be like a talisman for you in such a battle. Please enjoy the nostalgic melody by Chikara Aoshima.” said Singer songwriter ermhoi.
“We created a song suitable by traditional Japanese children’s songs and nursery rhymes that was suitably sung by ermhoi, who has a fragile yet fantastic voice. We hope that you will be able to contemplate the chaos of this world with this music.” said Composer/Drummer Chikara Aoshima.
On Friday, July 19, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launches on Xbox Game Pass on day one. It also releases on Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Pre-orders with special bonuses are now open, and they come with two Mazo Talismans—special equipment—for Soh as well as a digital little artbook with concept art for the game.
