The dreaded final day of Anime NYC a day that sees an end to a 4-day long festival in all regards bringing together different people. This makes the convention a place for anime fans to truly connect with one another and start friendships. I do hope everyone is able to come again as it is such a great time to be there just making connections with others and seeing friends again. This makes Anime NYC not just a convention where friends can hang out but make new ones, and with events such as this it just makes it more important for fans to get together and hangout. Moreover, for those who want to keep that festive spirit alive and keep the good times rolling there are official afterparties that keep the party going for quite some time. So, for those of you who want to keep the good times a rolling you can attend them and they are available through the Anime NYC website. Other than that, make sure to add the friends you made on discord or any other form of social media to keep those relationships strong. For all those who attended make sure to get home safe and stay healthy to attend Anime NYC 2026, I hope to see you all there.
As for what went on during the fourth day of Anime NYC there was plenty of events going on from a concert with Phase Connect to Ironmouse and CDawgVa known as Conner playing Starlight Re:Volver. The sheer amount of people in the room reacting was quite the change in pace from watching or even listening to them on Twitch or YouTube. So, this interactive stream was entertaining and left quite the impression on fans themselves as it was a nice change of pace of dedicated fans of both Ironmouse and Conner. And as for the concert from Phase Connect it was astounding as all the talents that sang such as Shiina, Rie, Eimi, and Jelly were all fantastic. Moreover, they proved they were idols at the concert despite how fans see them through all the memes regarding the company. Aside from that, the Hololive booth had a lot of people attending to see their favorite Vtuber, with a lot of people showing up for Gigi Murin and Ouro Kronii from their English branch.
This brought a lot of Hololive fans together and ensured that they had a memorable day leaving them with quite the impact. Aside from Vtubers interacting with their fans, the final day still had cosplays to show off at meetups.
With plenty of cosplay meetups to take photoshoots with at various meetups to go until closing time. So those who were unable to attend the convention the previous days are still able to get into cosplay and enjoy the limelight. As for what was available for the final day was quite varied from various anime, games, to even indie titles with different cosplayers showcasing them. The Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure cosplay meetup went crazy with different fans doing most if not all of the poses from the manga and anime.
And then there was the Yakuza series cosplay meetup showcasing what they are able to with such a modern cosplay formula to fit into the more art direction of the game. Also here are some cosplays that really caught my eye at Anime NYC.
