Annapurna Interactive – the publisher behind critically acclaimed titles such as What Remains of Edith Finch, Outer Wilds, Maquette, The Pathless, and more, held its first-ever Showcase filled with a number of exciting announcements. During the event, which can be viewed on demand on Annapurna Interactive’s Twitch and YouTube channels, the publisher revealed new games, showed off gameplay trailers for several others, introduced new developer partnerships, and unveiled exciting port announcements. Game News
The Artful Escape (cast announce and release date)
Beethoven & Dinosaur’s musical narrative adventure about a teenage guitar prodigy who sets out on a psychedelic, multidimensional journey to inspire his stage persona will feature voice performances by Michael Johnston, Caroline Kinley, Lena Headey, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Strong and Carl Weathers. The game will launch on September 9, 2021 for Xbox and PC. Check out the announcement video here.
Neon White (gameplay reveal)
The lightning fast first-person action game spotlighted even more footage about exterminating demons in Heaven. Check out the new gameplay video here.
A Memoir Blue (new game)
From Cloisters Interactive, A Memoir Blue is a poignant story of a mother and daughter, experienced through memories cherished and memories suppressed. Watch the reveal trailer here.
Storyteller (new game)
Storyteller is a unique and creative spin on the puzzle genre in which players are given a variety of iconic characters, settings and emotions to build tales of love, betrayal and revenge. From supernatural fantasies and Shakespearean tragedies to myths of creation, players must use their wits to retell iconic tales, or find something new. Check out the reveal trailer here.
Solar Ash (release date reveal)
From the creators of the award winning 2016 game Hyper Light Drifter, this 3D third-person action platformer filled with sunken cities, vast water shelves, dangerous lava zones and more, will be released on October 26, 2021 for PC and PlayStation. Watch the release date video here.
Skin Deep (gameplay reveal)
Blendo Games’ immersive first-person shooter about sneaking, subverting, and sabotaging, all while not wearing shoes, revealed a new gameplay trailer, which you can watch here.
Stray (gameplay reveal)
From developer BlueTwelve, Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Check out the new gameplay trailer here.
Outer Wilds (Expansion announcement)
Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye, an expansion for the critically acclaimed and award-winning open world mystery first person space simulator, will launch on September 28, 2021. Check out the trailer here.
Developer Partnerships
Annapurna Interactive has announced new developer partnerships with: the Seattle-based indie game studio Outerloop Games, best known for Falcon Age; Toronto-based Jessica Mak, best known for Everyday Shooter and Sound Shapes; Ivy Road, a new studio from veteran devs Davey Wreden and Karla Zimonja out of Vancouver; and No Code, an award-winning entertainment development studio based in Glasgow and best known for Observation.
