From the Legendary ‘DodoRex’ to Skeleton Dinosaurs and Spider Saddles, Studio Wildcard Celebrates All Hallows Eve With Extra Creepy Game Overhaul
Studio Wildcard, the studio that never sleeps, unveiled a graveyard of Halloween-influenced content today for the hit survival-adventure game, ARK: Survival Evolved, giving survivors a handsome goodie-bag of creepy dino-creatures to ride, limited edition treats to collect, and eerie All Hallows Eve-themed geography to explore.
Starting Wednesday, October 28, and running for one week, the ARK undergoes a seasonal change where the air is cooler, the days shorter and the nights longer, and a Blood-Moon shines brightly as bats and other creatures of the night appear above ground. As the mythical DodoRex stomps across the land with an army of bloodthirsty zombie dodos in tow, and a variety of re-animated Skelesaurs walk the fields, players can immediately jump into the Halloween festivities. For those brave enough to take on the many tricks of ARK: Fear Evolved, there are numerous items to collect including thatch-rich scarecrows, custom Jack-o-Lantern carving, Bone-Dino costumes, Candy-Corn loot drops, Witch Hats and masks, and Spider Saddles so you can Ride Spiders. Tame-able Zomdodos, Tame-able Bats, Trophies and Pumpkin Achievements also will be rampant. Survivors can also find ARK discount codes hidden within Candy-Corn drops, to give a treat to their friends!
To experience the proper video game level of spookiness this Halloween, make sure to head to Steam and jump into this year’s surprise survival-adventure hit, ARK: Survival Evolved.
ARK was among the top-five selling titles for its first four months in Steam’s Early Access and continues to maintain a solid position in the top 10 sellers, with more than two million copies sold on Steam. Developed by Studio Wildcard, in conjunction with Instinct Games, ARK: Survival Evolved will launch in June 2016 on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, PlayStation®4 with Project Morpheus support, and full release on Steam PC.
