Assassin’s Creed Shadows, directed by Ubisoft Québec (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey), will transport players to Japan in the sixteenth century. The nation is on a violent course toward unity, where instability increases with the formation of new coalitions and the infiltration of corrupt foreign forces.
The stories of Yasuke, the formidable samurai of folklore, and Naoe, a skilled shinobi Assassin from the Iga Province, are interwoven for players to experience. As they usher in a new era for Japan, learn about their personal experiences, get to know important historical personalities, and create their shared future.
Players can learn to master two complimentary playstyles as Naoe and Yasuke, each of whom has unique attributes, abilities, and weapon options. There are numerous methods for players to approach objectives, depending on whether they choose to utilize Yasuke’s combat prowess or Naoe’s stealth abilities. They will encounter sophisticated infiltration techniques with Naoe, utilizing noise, light, shadows, and shifting environments to evade enemy notice. They will be able to defeat more formidable foes with deadly accuracy thanks to Yasuke.
Players will be able to explore a large open world in the game that features a range of sceneries that change with the seasons and weather. With the latest Anvil engine and the capability of new-generation consoles, feudal Japan is brought to life with unparalleled vitality, showcasing everything from majestic castle towns and bustling ports to serene shrines and pastoral landscapes.
Information is crucial in these trying times and will be the core of the updated exploration mechanics. In order to find targets and discover new regions, players will construct their own spy network. It is also possible to enlist allies with extremely specific talents and abilities to assist in missions. Players will be able to train their new crew and improve their network by creating a customized hideout. They will be able to create a one-of-a-kind home, from foundation construction and layout to accessories and decorations.
The game’s standard version may be purchased here for 69,99$ on new-generation platforms and 69.99$ through the Mac App Store on PCs and Macs equipped with Apple hardware. Moreover, Assassin’s Creed Shadows preorders will come with an extra mission for each preordered edition. Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s Editions were also revealed:
- The main game, the Season Pass (which includes two planned expansions and a bonus mission with more unlocked content), and three days of early access to the game are all included in the Gold Edition.
