Top selections to be featured as fully playable characters in DLC for best-selling game
After carefully reviewing piles of entries for the Design Your Own Astro Bear’ contest, SONKA has revealed the winning designs, as well as a special prize. First Place was awarded to Bottom Tier for Lyptus, a koala intern who is “not technically a bear.” Bottom Tier made a video to discuss their contest entries. Second Place went to Diego Fajardo for Jeff, and coming in Third was Scott (Dr Scitt) with Andy. Both Lyptus and Jeff will appear in “Astro Bears not-bears DLC” coming in 2020. James Irons was given special recognition for his delightful Astro Bears comic, and his character Koalski will appear in future installments of the Astro Bears series. Astro Bears launched on Nintendo Switch in July and quickly landed among the eShop top sellers.
“We were blown away by the creativity and attention to detail in the contest entries,” said Rafal Sankowski of SONKA. “Astro Bears is ultimately about friendship and fun, and our fans really embraced that in their submissions”.
