Breakout Beyond, a new take on the well-loved brick-breaking classic, was unveiled by publisher Atari and developer Choice Provisions, the team behind BIT.TRIP. This exciting new entry in the Breakout series, which is now available on PC and console, pushes players to do more than just smash every brick—it challenges them to break through with clever combos that increase their score. Breakout Beyond offers a two-player cooperative mode for intense brick-smashing fun with pals, 72 action-packed levels to complete, and a completely new sideways perspective.

Players must smash their way through each challenge by clearing bricks to reach the goal in this thrilling remake of the 1976 arcade classic. Players are challenged to break through barriers while chaining combos that increase the tension with stunning effects as they explode through the screen sideways in this version. From protective barricades and explosive brick-clearing bursts to a laser cannon that forges a route forward, special blocks offer potent enhancements. Together, they unleash breathtaking, dynamic visuals that elevate Breakout to a whole new level.
Players will have to test their brick-busting prowess in 72 difficult stages, but they are not alone. They can use the new concentrate mode, which slows down time and trades high scores for improved accuracy, or they can join a friend in local two-player cooperative play to double the excitement.
