Baidu Honors 505 Games with Publisher of the Year Award

Global Publisher Also Received Prestigious Awards in China for

Koji Igarashi’s ‘Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’ and Sandbox RPG ‘Portal Knights’

 

Beijing, China – Global publisher 505 Games has been honored with the Most Reputable Publisher of the Year award at the inaugural Grand Game Awards, presented by Baidu App and 17173, celebrating the best of China’s gaming industry. Nominees for the prestigious award were determined based on Baidu and 17173 search results, local and global Metacritic scores, innovation, creativity and industry impact. Final winners were determined with input from Chinese gamers.

In addition to the Publisher of the Year award, 505 Games and its development partner ArtPlay received Most Reputable Game of the Year for the indie gothic-horror platforming game Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The award was accepted onstage at the Grand Game Awards by ArtPlay founder and renowned games developer Koji Igarashi (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night). Game of the Year was awarded to Kojima Productions’ debut epic Death Stranding and adds another win for 505 Games, which will publish the game for PC platforms this summer.

Several organizations have also recognized 505 Games’ sandbox RPG Portal Knights following a triumphant year with over one million copies sold in Greater China on PC and mobile platforms, published locally by Duoyi Network. Awards include:
