Introduction/Information about game
The game Borderlands 3 is a well known game that was originally released on September 13, 2019. As many may know, this game is an action role playing first person looter shooter where players will play as one of the four new Vault Hunters and explore the world of Pandora once again (along with some other fun planets to explore as well). Recently, Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition was released on the Nintendo Switch for Switch players to enjoy. I have enjoyed playing the Borderlands series since I first played Borderlands 2, and Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition was just as fun to play. While I am sure many are concerned with how the performance for this game is on the Nintendo Switch, I would say that there is not much to worry about, as the game seems to run well enough for players to enjoy. I believe that Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition is a very fun game for new players and Borderlands fans alike, even on the Nintendo Switch.
Gameplay
The gameplay for Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition on the Nintendo Switch works the same as it would on any other platform. The game will start the player off picking one of the new playable Vault Hunters, each with their own unique abilities. These Vault Hunters include Amera the Siren, FL4K the Beastmaster, Zane the Operative, and Moze the Gunner. For players who wish to take complete control of the battlefield with the elementals, then they would love playing Amera. Players who play as FL4K will give them an animal companion they can use to help deal extra damage, which is very helpful when dealing with bosses. Players who enjoy a more tactical approach to things, then Zane would be great for them. Finally, there is also the optimal option where players who simply just want to blow everything up can pick Moze. Once the player picks their preferred Vault Hunter, the game officially starts. First, players will have to do some mandatory story missions. They can think of these as the tutorials of the game. With these missions, players will be taught how to shoot, loot, and equip gear. They will also learn about the different unique skills the player’s selected vault hunter will have. As I stated before, playing this game was a lot of fun for me, even on the Nintendo Switch. In terms of performance, there was a noticeable difference in performance. However, I believe that this difference is not big enough to stop the player from having fun with this game.
Final thoughts
Overall, I believe the game Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition is a very fun game for new players and Borderlands fans, even if they are playing it on the Nintendo Switch. Being a fan of the Borderlands series, I was not surprised at how much I enjoyed playing this game as well. If you are a Nintendo Switch player who would love to play a game in the Borderlands series, then I would highly recommend playing this game. Players who wish to play Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition can get the game on Nintendo Switch, as well as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
Score: 8.5/10
