Bungie revealed today that when Marathon begins releasing on March 5*, players will start solving the puzzles of Tau Ceti IV. As a bio-cybernetic Runner in Marathon, players must scavenge the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV while fending off rival Runners, hostile security forces, and adverse conditions in order to find their fortune.

On March 5, 2026, Marathon will be released on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Standard and Deluxe editions with full cross-play and cross-save capabilities. All Destiny 2 players can get themed goodies in the Eververse Store to commemorate the launch of Marathon, while pre-orderers can get ornaments.
