Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered, by developer and publisher Manekoware, is a fun children’s game with lots of content, including some autogenerated levels that are basically infinite. That said, it is a relatively mind numbing game for an intelligent child or any adult. The objective of the game is to complete a list of things such as finding toys, riding the vacuum, and swatting things off the counter. However, there’s no puzzle to the game, nor difficulty. It is a game that can be solved by brute force, searching through every corner till you have found everything.
Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered has an upgrade system, and various cat characters to play from, allowing for a fair amount of customization. However, beyond that, there is very little depth to the game. Its a great game to distract a child for a long time. It can be played nearly infinitely, or until the child gets sick of it. However, there are plenty of games with far more depth that will entertain a child for a similar amount of time. Games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, and Pokèmon all come to mind. All three of these games have more depth and some degree of puzzle solving involved, while this game is simply a slog.
If you’re an adult and you’re choosing to play Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered, you must really love cats or this game is nostalgic for you. This is not a visually beautiful game, and I cannot imagine why an adult would play this game besides to keep their hands busy. That said, the game does not claim to be anything more than what it is, and there didn’t seem to be any noticeable bugs.

I play videogames all the time and have played all sorts of games, from Pokémon to Sekoro to Valorant and Apex Legends. I often prefer difficult or competitive games with high skill ceilings, but still love the beauty of more open world games like Breath of the Wild. The community of a game is also a determining factor for me, which is why I'd rather have an Animal Crossing friend than a Rainbow Six Siege friend."
