CD PROJEKT RED Announces that Promised Land Art Festival 2018 has Kicked Off

CD PROJEKT RED, “EC1 Łódź – City of Culture” and the city of Łódź, Poland, would like to announce that this year’s edition of Promised Land Art Festival — an event where creative industry professionals share their knowledge and passion — is now underway!

The festival was prefaced with an Open Day — a September 29th one-day-only event directed towards budding artists — during which visitors could join in on a variety of discussion panels hosted by creative industry professionals. Inspiring artists had an opportunity to take part in portfolio reviews with veterans from CD PROJEKT RED and Division 48 as well as talk with recruiters from the video game industry. These were not the only attractions — this year, in addition to the usual agenda, participants could create a digital 3D character model using a photogrammetric capsule and become an art canvas themselves during walk-in tattoo sessions hosted by WarsawINK. Attendees could also explore the latest technology driving the creative industry thanks to festival’s technological partners.

The main event began on Sunday, September 30th. Over the course of 4 days, Promised Land will feature a variety of activities with topics spanning across the creative industry — with 2D and 3D art, sculpting, animation, VFX, video game and movie production, and more. In order to hone their skills and expand their knowledge, artists can partake in masterclasses, lectures and Meet the Artist sessions. Adding to the array of attractions, the programme also includes a new Outside the Box category which allows participants to broaden their horizons by attending, among others, miniature painting workshops, lectures about video game story writing, publishing and firearm design.

Promised Land Art Festival 2018’s line up includes professionals from industry-leading studios such as: Capcom, Disney, Pixar Animation Studios, Paramount Pictures, BioWare, MachineGames, Framestore, Digic Pictures, MPC London, Wargaming, Double Negative and CD PROJEKT RED.

Promised Land Festival is held under the auspices of Łódź City Council as part of the “Łódź Creates” (“Łódź Kreuje”) and “EC1 Łódź – The City of Culture” (“EC1 Łódź – Miasto Kultury”) promotional programmes.
