As winter arrives and the madness of peak continues, why not take to the highlands of Clanfolk, MinMax Games’ medieval colony sim inspired by the Scottish highlands? Launched in Steam Early Access in July, Clanfolk is now enjoying its eighth major content update, and the developers are celebrating with a featured Steam sale. (Check out our Early Access Preview!)
From peat bogs and new bagpipe and harp instruments to stylish new trimming for flooring that the lead developer insists is “super sexy,” Clanfolk’s highland fantasy is that much closer to being realized in the ‘Bogs and Bagpipes’ update. You can read the full changelog here, and further highlights include 31 new historic clans, heather and thistle fields, new ways for the ‘folk to play songs together, and a ‘smart harvest’ feature.
Clanfolk is featured on Steam’s frontpage from now until November 10th, as part of this week’s Weekend Deal event, available to buy at a 20% discount for the first time.
