Nexon, a global leader in Virtual Worlds, announced that it will launch a new RPG, COUNTER: SIDE, in Japan in the winter of 2021. Originally launched in Korea in February 2020, the Japanese game was unveiled at a Nexon media showcase held in Akihabara, Tokyo.

COUNTER: SIDE is a free-to-play, cross-platform RPG featuring more than 100 characters fighting in a uniquely immersive Virtual World where humanity is threatened by an “erosion phenomenon” and “erosive body” arose in the real world.
The game is being developed by Studiobside, a team established by developers who specialize in subculture games on mobile. Shortly after the 2020 launch in Korea, COUNTER: SIDE reached #1 in the popular games ranking for both Google Play and App Store.
Players can learn more on the official COUNTER: SIDE website, on Twitter and in large-scale advertisements at seven locations in Tokyo.
More information on the release schedule of COUNTER: SIDE will be announced at a later date.
