AtomicTorch Studio and Daedalic Entertainment today released a large new content update for the multiplayer survival RPG, CryoFall, that introduces the Electricity system, letting players establish a power grid into their base to increase efficiency, production and security. Different types of generators – powered by steam, solar energy, biogas, or gasoline – produce electricity to power new advanced structures like electric furnaces and freezers. AtomicTorch has ensured that the new system is simple yet powerful, serving as a foundation for a great deal of new and reworked content in the future.
In addition, new structures and creatures have found their way into the world of CryoFall! New biomes like swamps and volcanic areas – as well as several new creatures within them – expand the game and its world. The Tinker Table allows players to combine two broken items into a single repaired one and restore a bonus percentage of durability based on proficiency with the new Maintenance skill.
Today’s update also includes a variety of improvements and fixes based on community feedback: hitboxes have been reworked, status effect icons are now visible over affected characters’ heads, and players will no longer lose Learning Points after dying.
CryoFall delivers a complex survival experience with unlimited opportunities for players to make their mark on a hostile alien world full of secrets, dangers and wealth. Discover new ways of farming, hunting, cooking, crafting, mining, building and trading, with multiple specializations available per character. Work with your fellow players to build a functional new society, or succumb to the most basic of urges and take what others have worked so hard to build. Whether you choose PvE or PvP, CryoFall offers a richly varied gameplay experience.
CryoFall is available now on Steam Early Access, priced at $19.99/£15.99/€19.99.
