Team NINJA is Making the Hotly-Anticipated Fighter Playable for All Attendees of Popular Las Vegas eSports Event
Burlingame – Fresh off its award-winning, behind-closed-doors debut at the Electronics Entertainment Expo, KOEI TECMO announced today that the first consumer playable build of DEAD OR ALIVE 6 will be unveiled at the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2018 inside the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, August 3-4.
The title, which won numerous “Best Fighting Game of E3” awards and was heralded as “one of the most gorgeous and detailed fighting games yet,” by Tom’s Guide, will be playable at KOEI TECMO’s booth on the show floor, and will be showcased on stage in a special DEAD OR ALIVE 6 mini-tournament. Gamers will also be able to compete for the official DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round championship, as the best-of-the-best trade fists and kicks to see who will walk away with a piece of the $6,000 in prize pool money in front of the packed crowd.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 producer and director, Yohei Shimbori, will be in attendance throughout the weekend to showcase his new game. In addition, unique DOAmerchandise will be given out during the event – including tote bags awarded to gamers joining the DOA6 mini-tournament, as well as original DOA6 t-shirts available to players who test out the game at the booth.
For more information on the DOA tournaments, including official program and live stream dates and times, as well as registration details, head to https://smash.gg/tournament/dead-or-alive-evo-showdown. Registration runs from July 5 through July 27, and all players will need to register as a participant through Evo separately by July 20 in order to compete.
DEAD OR ALIVE 6 is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 Computer Entertainment System, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and digitally on Windows PC via Steam, and is slated for release in Early 2019.
