Death Stranding was revealed by Kojima Productions during the Sony PlayStation E3 2016 Experience, starring Norman Reedus.
While not much had been revealed, we do know that they have not decided on a game engine yet. Death Stranding also appears to be some type of a futuristic, quantum mechanics sci-fi game.
