Discord Teams Up with The Game Awards to Offer Voting on Discord

Discord, the chat platform for gamers, is teaming up with The Game Awards, the video game awards show produced and hosted by Geoff Keighley, to allow voting for awards on Discord. Starting November 13th, Discord users can log onto The Game Awards server (discord.gg/thegameawards) and cast their ballots for their favorite games of 2018 across a number of categories.

Votes will be tabulated and added to votes received via The Game Awards’ website. The winners will be revealed during the live-streamed Game Awards event on December 6th.

In October, Discord announced the launch of its game store beta for all Discord users, offering over 60 indie titles like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells for purchase, alongside a subscription service, Nitro, priced at $9.99 per month.
