Metro Exodus E3 2018 Impressions:
Visually, this was an absolute treat! The icy Russian landscape, coupled with gruesome alien- and zombie-like creatures, was incredibly vivid. I even remember feeling chilly in the gaming room, the snow looked so real! Also, Metro Exodus really tests your planning skills, not just your trigger-happy shooting habits; to successfully progress through the game, you have to be stealthy and use your hunting knife to your advantage. Strong dialogue and playful characters create a dimension of community, as you immediately realize that you are fighting for something more than yourself. Instead, you and your band of soldiers are trying to take down a religious cult and liberate the people being oppressed by it. This game thoroughly impressed with its graphics and realism, and I am definitely looking forward to its release!
Metro Exodus is developed by 4AGames and Deep Silver and is slated to release February 22, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
From the moment I first played Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy on the original Xbox, I have always had an avid curiosity and enthusiasm for video games. I admire their ability to immerse us in completely different worlds, and I am always eager to see how they integrate the newest breakthroughs in digital technology to make virtual reality feel real. I am currently a senior at UC Berkeley, but when I'm not studying I always make time to play Xbox One with my younger brother.
