Tomorrow, July 13th, Electronic Arts will release another installment in their Spotlight Series as part of the preparation for EA Play Live. The Spotlight, “EA <3s Independent Studios,” features commentary from Hazelight, Zoink, Velan and Silver Rain studios to connect players to the people behind the development of the games they love.
Fans can tune in to watch the EA <3s Independent Studios Spotlight tomorrow, July 13, at 10am PT on the official EA PLAY YouTube channel HERE.
Each representative from the EA Originals studios will chat with LA Times’ Todd Martens to discuss the latest and greatest yet to come — Josef Fares of Hazelight Studios will chat about It Takes Two’s immense success as the game showcased the power of storytelling in video games. Olov Redmalm from Zoink will cover the studio’s newest IP, Lost in Random, coming to PC and consoles in 2021 to take players on a journey through a twisted dystopia filled with uncertainty and chaos. Abubakar Salim and Mel Phillips from Silver Rain will discuss their two-year-old studio whose thought-provoking game will receive funding and publishing support by EA Originals. Lastly, Guha Bala of Velan Studios will share updates on the hit dodgebrawler, Knockout City, which surpassed 5 million players within a two-week timeframe after launch.
