F2 Con Gaming Tournament Coming to Clarksville, Tennessee this April

April 27-28 Event Boasts $10,000 in Prizes

Clarksville, TN – Visit Clarksville, CDE Lightband and Clarksville Parks and Recreation will host Clarksville’s first gaming and esports convention, F2 Con, Friday and Saturday, April 27-28 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center.

The two-day competition is produced by Esports Now and offers tournament play, casual gaming and fun for all ages with retro gaming, vendors and live streaming competition. All gaming will take place on CDE Lightband’s gigabit internet.

Registration is live on the F2 Con website at https://smash.gg/f2con.

Admission for spectators is $5 per day online or $7 per day at the door. Pre-Registration for competitors is $20 for a 2-day pass with a pot bonus buy-in at $5. Door registration for competitors is $30 for a 2-day pass with a pot bonus buy-in at $5.

Both casual and competitive play will take place Friday from 3:00-11:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.

F2Con 18 will have eight featured tournaments with a $10,000 pot bonus across various titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ, NBA 2K18, Street Fighter V AE, SMASH Wii U, Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2, Madden NFL 18 and Rocket League.

Are you a casual gamer? Enter the F2 Con Amateur Series Tournaments and Free Play events including Fortnite, Mario Kart 8, Call of Duty, Minecraft with the purchase of a 2-day pass.

Spectators will have unlimited access to general activities, vendors, and the main stage viewing area.

“CDE Lightband is so excited to be able to take the gaming event we held at Rivers & Spires to a full weekend event. It is also an excellent way to us to showcase our 10 Gig Internet capacity in a fun way,” stated Brian Taylor, general manager at CDE Lightband.

“F2 Con and competitive computer gaming are new events for us, and we are excited to help bring them to Clarksville,” Mayor Kim McMillan said. “Our Parks & Recreation Department, which does a great job with family programming, also looks for ways to attract teens and young adults, and we think that F2 Con will do just that.”

The Riverview Inn is the host hotel for the event and is offering a $94 rate with code F2CON.
