After a grueling two days of drama, triumph and heartbreak between 32 of the best FIFA 17 players, Corentin “Vitality Rockyy” Chevrey was crowned the best FIFA player in the world, taking home the grand prize of $160,000 USD. In a dramatic last minute goal with only seconds left on the clock, French Xbox One champ Vitality Rockyy captured the trophy after trailing PlayStation 4 winner and Englishman Shaun “Shellzz” Springette in the cross console grand finale. This past weekend at the inaugural FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Championship, elite FIFA players hailing from all corners of the globe met in Berlin to put their skills to the test, with millions of spectators around the world tuning in to witness the rise of new stars and surprising upsets from crowd favorites. Over six million players have played FUT Champions since last fall, qualifying for 192 spots in six regional finals and 32 berths in the Championship. The top eight competitors including Vitality Rockyy and Shellzz have also punched their ticket to London, qualifying for the FIFA Interactive World Cup.
