Former ‘Mob Wives’ Star Files Suit Against Grand Theft Auto 5

Gravano, the daughter Salvatore (Sammy the Bull) Gravano, alleges that Grand Theft Auto V is illegally imitating her life and has filed a $40 million lawsuit claiming that her image and life story have been incorporated into the mafia-themed game without permission.

According to papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court Monday,

“Notwithstanding the fact that plaintiff has the utmost respect for the writers and creators of the Grand Theft Auto V video game…her story is unique and is hers to tell.”

Gravano’s lawyer, Thomas Farinella, stated that the ripped-off character is Antonia Bottino. The animated character is rescued by the game’s main character after getting buried alive off a dirt road.

Karen Gravano claims the character, Antonia Bottino (background), is based on her life and image.
