Ice-Pick Lodge, the studio behind Pathologic 2, has released a new concept trailer for their unique mobile game, Franz.
Franz is a bold and very personal experiment, embodied by Nikolai Dybovsky and Anna Pimonova, brought to life by iconic artist Oleg Paschenko.
Franz is a sinister, cute, and unpredictable creature that settles in the player’s phone and communicates with them – whether they want it or not. How to react to Franz’s behavior? What does she want? How to interact with her? The player will have to find the answer to all these questions.
In this video, Oleg talks about how Franz was born, about inspiration and a fundamentally different format of interaction between the game and the player. Also, the video shows the concepts of the character.
Check out the Franz through the artist’s eyes, Oleg Pashchenko, Trailer:
Franz is more than a game – it is a tool for self-exploration, meditation, and a simulator for interacting with others and … a mirror.
Is it possible to love a thing? Is it possible to hate it?.. Is it possible to look into it – and know yourself better?
