Since the release of Frostpunk earlier this year, numerous people have asked about the soundtrack and where they can get it for themselves. The harsh, unforgiving sounds of the frozen wasteland, created by composer Piotr Musiał, are an intrinsic part of the game experience and today, 11 Bit Studios can finally present to you a dev diary where we dive into the details behind the production of the musical score.
Once you’ve seen the video, then you’ll know that Frostpunk’s haunting soundtrack will be receiving a very limited pressing vinyl edition. Featuring 10 tracks from the game, and remastered exclusively for the purpose of this edition, it will be pressed on top-notch quality 180gr vinyl. Releasing on October 26th, with a limited number of 500 copies, fans can purchase this highly coveted collector’s item on gamemusic records online store for 30 EUR (approximately $35 USD) + the cost of the shipping (shipped worldwide).
Of course, the developers are aware that it’s 2018, so as of today you can also find the soundtrack in its digital version on various sites, including Spotify, YouTube, Tidal, Deezer, iTunes … and more!
If you’re really into HiFi quality, you can also purchase a special edition which includes a variety of digital formats (320 kbps .MP3, .WAV, .FLAC) on GOG.com and Steam.
