Unlimited Access to Over 100 Iconic Games for $4.99—With No Ads or In-App Purchases
NEW YORK — GameClub, the all-you-can-play subscription home for gaming’s greatest hits, has launched today on Apple’s App Store. GameClub delivers unlimited, exclusive access to a library of over 100 timeless titles, updated and optimized for the latest iPhones and iPads. The $4.99 per month, cancel-anytime subscription service comes with a free one-month trial and features in-depth overviews, game histories, tips, strategies, and direct links to games.
“GameClub is a response to freemium fatigue,” said GameClub CEO and co-founder Dan Sherman. “Consumers are drowning in ads and in-app purchases and premium game creators have been crowded out by a model that only works for a handful of genres. GameClub provides a new home for the best developers to come back to mobile to the benefit of gamers everywhere.”
Curated by former TouchArcade editor-in-chief Eli Hodapp, GameClub’s diverse catalog includes many of the highest-rated mobile games on Metacritic, with multiple titles that topped Apple’s own game-of-the-year lists. GameClub is the only place to find these titles, which in aggregate have been downloaded by over 100 million players. Each game is playable without an internet connection and downloaded—not streamed—directly from the App Store.
“One of the hardest questions to answer lately has been ‘what should I be playing on my phone?’” said Hodapp. “GameClub will release new games every week that encapsulate hidden gems and the best of the best of the App Store.”
The central hub for all this curation is the GameClub app, making the best games only a single tap away. Each title is free to download and play—without a subscription—for accounts that previously purchased them through the App Store. Check out GameClub’s library of titles at http://gameclub.io.
