Everything is in place – the journey to create the next international CS:GO team starts May 1st. During three intense weeks, twelve talented young players will compete side by side for the ultimate price – make their dream come true and become a professional gamer. The contestants will be divided into two teams, coached by CS legends ‘INS’ and ‘SpawN’. Everything takes place in the custom-built ‘GAMERZ House’ outside of Stockholm, Sweden. Viewers will be able to follow every step through 26 strategically placed cameras.
The contestants will not only compete against each other. Those who do not perform can be challenged by talented viewers who then, if the viewer wins, can take the team members´ place. It´s taking the word interactivity to a totally new level. In the end, only the most skilled five people will remain and will be awarded the opportunity to start their new life as professional CS:GO players through a pro contract with GAMERZ.
“This is the most ambitious attempt ever made to create a new, international CS:GO team from scratch. At the same time, the show is fulfilling what most young people playing CS:GO consider a unreachable dream, which feels great. This kind of possibility was unthinkable when I first started my career. So, I really hope the players will step up to the challenge, because I am going to make their next few weeks the toughest they have ever experienced,” says ‘GAMERZ’ coach and CS legend Abdisamad ‘SpawN’ Mohamed”.
The custom built ‘GAMERZ House’ is equipped with everything a pro player could ever need. But the show is more than just gaming. During their time in the show, the contestants will be challenged in a number of ways that will help them grow both as individuals and as team units. Anything – physical or mental – that can help the players reach their full potential could happen.
‘GAMERZ’ is produced by an experienced team of TV professionals. The crew consists of more than 40 people and everything that happens in the house is captured by 26 strategically placed, 24/7 cameras.
– GAMERZ offers the best from two worlds: TV’s ability to convey emotion and to entertain meets the gaming cultures high standards when it comes to culture and interactivity. It has been both fun and challenging to combine both the huge task of creating a pro team from scratch, with our ambition to entertain our demanding viewers, says Robert Jönsson, Executive Producer for GAMERZ.
Aside from the daily live show, a large number of viral segments featuring gaming celeb Swebliss together with secret guests will be produced. GAMERZ is hosted by e-sport profile Semmler and premieres on May 1st, 9 p.m. C.E.T. and is available on Twitch, Youtube, Viafree, Facebook, Znipe and Gin.
