With LITTLE NIGHTMARES III, Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is taking gamers back to The Nowhere, but this time they won’t have to face it alone. A new teaser, unveiled today at gamescom 2024’s Opening Night Live, highlights cooperation as the game’s two new characters, Low and Alone, must flee the nightmares of the Spiral, the game’s new locale. For the first time in the series, players can select from one of the two characters, each with special powers, or they can play online cooperatively with a friend to get past the game’s typical mix of difficult puzzles, gloomy surroundings, and hideous “residents” that lurk in the shadows.

Supermassive Games’ Little Nightmares III chronicles the adventures of Alone and Low, who must cooperate to escape the Spiral, a tumultuous collection of locations inside The Nowhere. Every character has a signature item that they will need to aid them on their quest, such as a wrench for Alone and a bow and arrow for Low. With online co-op, gamers may now confront their shared childhood anxieties, adding a new dimension to the experience. In the single-player version of Little Nightmares III, players can select between playing as Low or alone, with AI handling control of the second character.
LITTLE NIGHTMARES III is heading to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2025.
